Vanessa has an Aquatic Bioscience degree from Glasgow University in Scotland, and an honours certificate in Occupational Health and Safety which fostered the inspection skills required to work as a Safety Officer for the Health Authority, as well as in quality assurance for a major food production and distribution plant. Vanessa joined Orkin Canada’s QA team in 2015. She performs annual quality assurance assessments for our Gold Medal customers, as well as, national account inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external scopes of service. She supplies insect identifications and technical support for Orkin Canada branches and clients in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and training support for Orkin Canada technicians in the field and through in-house presentations. Vanessa has developed a keen interest in stored product pests while researching integrated pest management programs in museums.
