As the temperature fluctuates keep your eyes and ears open for the signs and sounds of unwanted pests this winter. Bill has over 35 years of experience working in the pest control industry. He now oversees our Quality Assurance, Training, H&S and Regulatory departments. He specializes in food safety standards, carpenter ants, fumigation and mentoring. Bill makes numerous industry presentations and provides support to client groups and Orkin Canada branch offices throughout North America along with the preparation and submission of print articles for various industry-related magazines.

Alice Sinia, MSc – Quality Assurance Manager - Regulatory/Lab Services 
Master of Science Degree in Pest Management (MSc.) Simon Fraser University; BSc. (Hons) Biological Sciences (Entomology & Parasitology) Makerere University; Advanced Level Certificate of Education Trinity College

Alice is responsible for the management of the Orkin Canada Q.A. Laboratory located at our Training Centre. She performs analytical entomology (investigate product adulteration using biochemical and comparative tissue methods), provides technical support in pest/insect identification to branch offices and clients. In addition, Alice also prepares scientific reports for Orkin Canada clients, updates Orkin management on changes and updates in government regulations pertaining to the Pest Control industry and performs Quality Assurance account compliance audits. Alice is currently completing her PhD thesis on honey bees.

Sid Smith, ACE – National Account Quality Assurance Manager

Sid is the primary contact for our National Account clients, on a day to day basis, to ensure quality from coast to coast is being delivered. He delivers presentations to technicians and clients on pest management as well as to local health departments.

Kathy Cano, MSc, BCE – Quality Assurance Manager - Gold Medal
B.Sc. (Agriculture) & MSc. (Entomology) University of Manitoba; Board Certified Entomologist (BCE); NPMA training; Quality Pro certification; Provincial Licensing Ontario (structural / fumigation) and Manitoba (structural, mosquito, fumigation)

Kathy performs Quality Assurance audits (Manitoba, Sask. and Alberta) and her areas of expertise include: Entomology, Urban Pest Management. She is a  member of the Entomological Society of America, the Entomological Society of Manitoba and the Entomological Society of Canada. Kathy manages all aspects of our Gold Medal Pest Management Program and is a recognized speaker at industry conferences and workshops.

Scott Graham, BCE – Quality Assurance Manager - Compliance

Scott manages corporate and environmental ISO compliance for Ontario, Quebec and Eastern Canada. He also provides Quality Assurance and Technical Support for Southwestern Ontario. and specializes in all areas of Urban, Industrial and Commercial Pest Management. Scott’s industry accomplishments have included conducting numerous pest management and food safety seminars for some of the largest food processing companies in Canada and the United States.
